The 41st ABA Conference is an annual gathering of members of the Asian Bankers Association, providing a platform for industry leaders to exchange insights, foster regional cooperation, and discuss emerging trends in banking and finance across the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference will be held at Dungkar Estate, located in Paro, Bhutan, on September 15 and 16, 2025.

- Sponsors and exhibitors
You can register through the official registration portal on the ABA website. A direct registration link and details will be shared via the Bank of Bhutan and ABA communication channels shortly.

Yes, shuttle services will be available between the airport, hotels, and the conference venue during the event dates. Details and schedules will be provided closer to the event.

Yes, all foreign participants are required to obtain a visa to enter Bhutan. The organizing team will facilitate the visa application process for all registered delegates. Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
All necessary health and safety measures will be observed as per government and health authority guidelines. Updates will be shared closer to the event depending on the prevailing conditions.

September marks the end of the monsoon season in Bhutan. The weather in Paro is generally mild and pleasant, with daytime temperatures ranging between 15°C to 22°C and cooler evenings around 8°C to 12°C. Light showers may occur, so it’s advisable to carry a light jacket or umbrella.
The official currency of Bhutan is the Ngultrum (Nu.), which is pegged to the Indian Rupee (INR). Both Ngultrum and Indian Rupees are accepted throughout the country, except for coins.
Yes, most major international credit and debit cards are accepted at hotels and some larger stores in Bhutan. However, for smaller purchases or transactions in rural areas, it is advisable to carry cash. ATMs are available in Paro and other major towns.
Delegates are also encouraged to download and self-register for goBoB, a digital wallet by the Bank of Bhutan. With goBoB, you can add money using your cards and make QR code-based payments conveniently.
Wi-Fi is available at most hotels and at the conference venue. You may also purchase a local SIM card at the airport or in town with a valid passport copy for better mobile and data coverage.
- Always remove shoes before entering temples or monasteries.
